Answers to these frequently asked questions may help you as you look around our site. Q: What denomination is Church for All Nations? - A: Church for All Nations is an interdenominational congregation who believes that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation; that the Bible is the unfailing, enduring truth of God; and that the biblical church pattern presented in the New Testament is a model for us today. We believe Ephesians 4:11 and 12, which says, “It was he [Jesus] who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” In this five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, we find the keys for unlocking the full potential of God’s people in the way that He designed church to be. Sam Matthews (more info) from Shawnee, OK is the apostle of our church and provides counsel, insight, correction, and support through various means. Through him, our church is also connected to a network called International Christian Leadership Connections (ICLC) that spans the globe.
Q: Are there activities for youth? How is the morning service set up for youth? - A: Yes, for ages 13 and up, there is a youth group that meets every Sunday night for Bible study, worship, and fun. This ministry is called One Way Youth and you can find out more about them and their vision and ministry by clicking here. For the morning service, the youth are part of the general congregation and encouraged to worship and grab hold of the important truths that are being conveyed.
For ages 4-12, there is an entire church service specifically for the children. WorldChangers Children's ministry relays, on an understandable level, the truth of the Bible with worship, offering, prayer, and activities to reinforce the lesson. The nursery, ages 0-3, also joins in for the worship portion of this service then proceeds to their own room. For more information on their vision and ministry, click here.
Q: How long is the service and what is it composed of? - A: Most services last around one hour and a half (from 10:30 AM to 12 PM). We start with greetings and announcements and then begin a time of worship, seeking God, and prayer (approximately thirty minutes). There is then an opportunity to give tithes and offerings, and either the pastor or associate pastor will bring a powerful message, usually finishing in around forty-five minutes. (See service times or Get Directions)
Q: Are their night or midweek services? - Right now, we are not having regular night services, but we do offer home groups on Sunday nights in two locations at 6:30 PM (find out more) and a corporate prayer time during the week (see prayer page). This gives the opportunity for a more relational setting with which to build our faith and also to pray the things that God would have us pray for our lives, our city, and this ministry.
Q: Is communion taken? How often and when? - Communion is taken at the church leadership’s direction. There is no set pattern as far as that goes, but we take communion at least three to four times a year. Often there will be advanced notice given that we are having this time in the next or an upcoming service.
Q: What is the procedure to access or participate in the prayer chain? - A: The daily prayer focus can be accessed by submitting your name via e-mail to office@church4allnations.com. On this site, there is a monthly prayer focus article as well as prayer requests and testimonies. To access that page, click here. There are also times that church staff may send a churchwide e-mail for specific prayer requests, and if you are not already on that church list, you can also send an e-mail to office@church4allnations.com to be added. If you have a prayer request right now, please e-mail us or call 907-780-5121.
Q: Do you do baptisms and how are they done? - A: We do have baptisms that are done for people who have declared Jesus to be the Lord of their life and want to enter into that declaration of new life in Jesus Christ. We do not, however, require people to be baptized to become a member of the church. We currently do not have facilities to accommodate baptisms, but in the past we have been fortunate enough to be granted access to other churches who have let us use their facilities for a special service. If you would like to ask for a baptismal service, please talk to our office at 907-780-5121 or e-mail office@church4allnations.com and it would be our pleasure to get things arranged for you.
