We continue to welcome and invite our King Jesus to reign in this city and in our lives. The battle intensifies but it only means we are closer to the full release of His victory! One night as Mark and I prayed at the church, I began praying Psalm 24 that the gates would lift up their heads and the everlasting doors would swing wide that He, the King of Glory may enter. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle- He is the King of Glory! We say, “Take Your rightful throne, Lord Jesus!”
I heard God say prophetically, “there is all this debate about Juneau Access and roads in and out,” but the Lord says, “There are fears of opening up to outside influences and people, but I indeed have access to Juneau and road or no road I am coming. I have access to hearts and minds and businesses and I will prosper, I will bless, and I will bring to completion.” Yes, come Lord Jesus!
As we prayed another morning I began to see again that it was not a matter of if He is coming, but when- and whether He comes in judgment or renewal is up to how His people cry out and intercede. His word says, who can withstand the day of His coming? If He comes in judgment and wrath then we cannot stand, but we cry out for His mercy and invite the King to come and reign not by force but by invitation. We have to cry out! We say that the “kings” of this city must bow to the greater King- the greatest King- Jesus. His blood has secured the victory and His right to reign. Greed, perversion, abuse, infirmity, division, isolation- they are not the kings of this city but we declare the truth that Jesus alone is worthy of the crown. We remember Psalm 2 that the nations are His inheritance and He has the right to judge and smash them like clay pots- we have to kiss the Son lest He be angry and we perish in the way. Jesus Himself told us to consider the cost- if an invading king is too strong for you, will you not send a delegation to meet Him and discuss terms for peace. We are those that stand in the gap and cry out for this mercy that He might come in peace to establish His Kingdom in power and righteousness.
May we bring honor to Him and reverence the Lord as never before in our lives. Don’t miss this opportunity to cry out in faith and stand in believing that His greatness and glory might be displayed in our city and throughout the earth. Amen- so be it in the name of Jesus! Be sure to keep yourselves and one another covered in prayer as again the battle intensifies and schemes are released, but He gives protection and wisdom according to His unfailing love. Let’s stand together!
