Everyday we are faced with a choice: are we going to believe what God has said or are we going to cower in fear over what the enemy is saying?  When you break it down that way the choice is obvious, but when you are faced with all the uncertainties of life and the circumstances that just won't change, those lies that the enemy screams in our ears are hard to ignore.  So what do we do?

We receive the promises of His word and combat the drawing power of our fears and anxieties.  We focus on who our God is and begin to worship and praise.  Things cannot stay the same when we begin to give ourselves in passionate worship to Him.  God is moved by the faith it takes to sing a song of love and praise when everything around you is crumbling.  Don't believe me?  Just try it out.

Isaiah 60:19 and 20 declares, “The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.”  What a gracious God we serve!  He has spoken blessings over us and given us the inheritance He has promised.  We believe and release that the days of sorrow over our lives, families, church, city, finances, etc. are over because He has given victory.  This is a "now" word from God and we can rejoice that His will triumph over every scheme of hell and any plan of men.

We have to find ourselves leading with praise in these days.  As Jehoshaphat sent the singers and dancers ahead declaring, “Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever!” so we release our praise and thanks to Him even before we see how it's all going to play out.  They had insurmountable odds in the natural with enemies on every side, but God gave them a word that the battle was not theirs but His.  Their response to this word was humble adoration and loud declaration of His praise.  Let this be our response today.  As God says to take our positions and stand firm because we will see His deliverance, let’s worship Him with everything within us.

If our God is for us, who then can be against us?  We rejoice and lead with our praise.  We sing about the attributes and mighty deeds of our awesome King who reigns on high forever and ever! Amen!
