Prayer Focus- A Declaration of Significance

Sometimes in prayer, we come to a place where we are at a loss.  We are not quite sure what to say or what to do.  The enemy has thrown us into difficulty and trials and we begin to wonder which way is up.  It is in those times that we need to stand and make a declaration of significance.  This is not the time to tell God what a great and spiritual person you are.  No! It’s time to start declaring and proclaiming who He is.  We come as a child proud of his father and what he does.

Our God is gracious and abounding in love and mercy.  If we begin to declare who He is today beyond our own thoughts, emotions, and circumstances, He will respond and demons will tremble.  He is the Healer. Jesus is greater than any sickness or disease and by His stripes we are healed.

We declare He is our provider.  He is placing in our hands the resources, finances, facilities, and people that we need that we might be a testimony of His glory.  He is doing this for us as a church, and also as individuals.  We speak blessings and fruitfulness in this month because He has spoken that this is a year of fulfillment and abundance.

We declare that He is Almighty.  There is nothing or no one that can stop what our God has set into motion.  His plans cannot be thwarted and His purposes will stand through all generations.  This is a time like no other!  We trust in the name of the Lord our God, not talents or wealth or intellect.  He is Almighty and we declare it into the earth, into our city, into our church, into our families, and into our lives!  God is great and greatly to be praised, glorious and arrayed in splendor.  He is who He says He is and He will do all that He says He will do.  Like Abraham, we consider Him who made the promise to be faithful.

May 5 is the National Day of Prayer and in this month, we do not proclaim our status or greatness.  We declare the matchless wisdom and power of God.  Stop looking at and proclaiming everything you see wrong or difficult and start declaring who He has revealed Himself to be through His word! That is truly a significant declaration.
